Most sought mimicry artiste of Konkani Tiatr stage Sheik Amir will be releasing his first Audio Album “Mimicry King Sheik Amir” on 26th of September, 2010 at 10.30 a.m. at the DMK Hall Kala Academy Panjim. The album will be released at the hands of Prince Jacob during the staging of tiatr “Kednam Utt’ttolo?”
Sheik Amir has produced this album on the occasion of completion of 25 years of his singing and acting of Tiatr stage. Amir Bab is the only artiste from Muslim community on tiatr stage who has contributed immensely to the development of tiatr through mimicry. .jpg)
The album consists of songs written and sung by Sheik Amir. The uniqueness of this Album is that in all the songs he mimics different singers of Konkani stage. The artistes whom Sheik Amir imitates in his album are: M. Boyer, Young Chico, Jacinto Vaz, Francis de Tuem, William de Curtorim, Trio Kings – Anthony, Jr. Nelson & Souza Boy, and Lorna.
